Candy Tsamandebele takes struggling youths under her wing

The talented musician and actress is set to hold a workshop in Bolobedu in Ga-Kgapane at Shidila Lodge.
The workshop will be hosted over two days and it will be prioritising women who are up-and-coming artists.

According to Candy, the idea of the workshop came after her social media accounts were flooded with messages by young women in her home town seeking guidance.

“Limpopo Women In Music aims to use established artists and behind-the-scenes music professionals with lived experiences to educate and empower attendees,” she said.

Candy will not be the one leading the workshop. According to the Skeem Saam actress, there will be a panel of women from different industries in the music scene.

The panel will include veteran music publicist Hloni Modise, who will be focusing on the elements of selling artists to the media, from putting together press kits to single selection, and Hellen Seabi, one of the well-known music compilers in Limpopo currently working for Capricorn FM.
Artists often struggle to place their music in compilers’ ears, especially in Bolobedu. Hellen’s participation at this workshop is valuable for the music scene in Limpopo.

Dr Winnie Mashaba will share her story of being discovered by a legend and eventually becoming one, and how that journey contributed to the Limpopo gospel music scene, including Bolobedu.

Twist As Mampintsha’s Mom Begs For Forgiveness

Zamanguni Gumede-Zuma, the mother of Gqom superstar Mampintsha is filled with compunction following a very heated video of her cussing and dragging her daughter-in-law. She told Briefly News that she wishes to make amends with Babes Wodumo as she wants to be in her unborn grandchild’s life.
65-year-old Zama told the publication that she was filled with wrath when she confronted Babes in the video. In the video she accuses Babes of trying to control her sons life. It is clear that she never liked Babes and even said she instructed her and the family to not set foot at their wedding.

She even accused her of faking her pregnancy and then proceeded to diss her growing grandchild by saying he or she will probably be a cat. From what many observed, Zama was probably intoxicated but that cannot be known for sure.

After their lavish traditional wedding, she went on a rant but now she wants to apologise to her in person. She might not like Babes, but if her son, Shimora wants to spend the rest of his life with her, then there is nothing she can do but to be supportive. At the end of the day, she is my daughter-in-law, and we have to iron out issues and move past. Mandla is my son, and if he chooses Babes Wodumo, then there’s nothing I can do. I want to apologise to her in person, and we move on as a family. I want to be a responsible mother to both of them,” she told the publication.

She then further wished them longevity and hopes they could build a warm home for their child. Zama opened up to the publication and said she does not want a lot from Mampintsha, she only wants to spend time with her grandchild before she departs earth.

Babes might want to rethink her decision of pressing charges against her mother-in-law because sis was adamant that she wants to teach her a lesson. “I am going to press charges against her for humiliating me in public and for swearing at me. I don’t understand why she is dragging my name in the mud.”I am pregnant, whether she likes it or not. If she has problems with it, she must deal with it. I am hurt about this. I know most of the things she says when she is drunk should not be taken seriously, but this time she has gone too far. I am going to press charges against her. I want her to clear my name,” Babes told Daily News.
