Happy birthday 🎉🎂 to DJ Shimza

Shimza is the true version of how one makes it out of ekasi by following your passion and your dreams.

He is well-known for his one-man show that happens annually in Tembisa and he is known for his international act moves. He is regarded as one of the highest-paid Deejays on the continent.

Shimza Career

Shimza started his career at the age of 15.

He received some great motivation to chase after his dreams and he ventured into house music as a DJ in 2003. After having a remarkable entrance, it steered him to win the Red Square DJ Competition in 2006.

Shimza was a participant in the South African Music Conference (SAMC) competition for upcoming Deejays and he won the competition.

As he continued participating in different competitions, Shimza won the Gauteng Carnival DJ Competition in 2011 which gave him the much-needed exposure he needed to be recognized in the music industry.

After winning the Gauteng competition, different Deejays started booking him and he played at big concerts including the Spring Fiesta and YFM gigs where he played alongside legends such as DJ Fresh, Black Coffee and Oskido.

In 2013, Shimza was signed to Soulistic Music record label which is an international record label owned by Black Coffee and through that, it saw him taking his place on a roster alongside internationally established artists such Black Coffee and Culoe de Song.

68th Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi co-hosted the National Costume show and she looked lit in her outfit.


 

Taking to social media, the South African star shared a clear video of how lovely the dress worn is.

She also spoke about her duty as the co-host.

“I had the most incredible time last night Co-Hosting the National Costume Show. Actually I did the whole thing @nickinnashville was just standing there and did an okay job (Kidding not Kidding. Its all love,” she said.

Focalsitic set to organise free concerts for kids

Focalistic reveals plans of keeping students entertained for free.

 

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, the musician said he will be hosting free concerts for kids outside high schools.

He suggested to name the event, After School is After School, but it’s garnered lots of reactions.

“Actually, thinking of making an event called “After School is after school” outside High Schools and rocking with the kids for free !! Can’t get suspended for dancing fela that’s unfair …. who can help us with sound?” he said.

The South African Film And Television Awards (SAFTAs) which is expected to hold on the 22nd of May 2021 has announced names of all the hosts on that day.
 

The South African Film And Television Awards (SAFTAs) which is expected to hold on the 22nd of May 2021 has announced names of all the hosts on that day.

The hosts are Mpho Popps, Dineo Langa, Lasizwe, Lerato Kganyago and Graeme Richards.

Dineo, Mpho and Graeme are to host the main show, while Lasizwe and Lerato are the official host for the red carpet.

It was also revealed that the Craft Awards, taking on May 21, 2021, will be streaming live on the SAFTAs YouTube channel from 19h00. It will be hosted by Tracey Lange and Coconut Kelz.

Each hosts have taken to their social media platforms to express excitement bagging the host deal.

Meanwhile this year’s award will be virtual. For the first time it will broadcast on Mzansi Magic from 19h00.

L’Vovo Expresses Jealous Over Spiderman Getting More Bookings Than Him

South African musician L’vovo has taken to social media to laugh at himself over his bookings drought. Commenting on the viral dancing Spiderman, L’vovo said it was sad that the fake superhero was getting more bookings for gigs than he was.


His amusing post left social media users in stitches. Others tried to explain that his interest in politics had a negative effect on his music career.
