Former Muvhango actress Mona Monyane penned a heartfelt letter to her late daughter Amani on Instagram. Amani passed away late 2017 just seven days after she was born.
 

She said she misses her daughter every day.
“I remember you fondly. I hold onto the moments when you were still safely tucked away within me. I weep for you when the pain enters my bones again. I question and accept many times a day. I hold onto the lessons you taught me. The love you left me with. I miss you daily. Long to hold you once again. I remember you, my sweet. I hold you safely in my heart,” she wroteOpening up publicly about her daughter’s passing for the first time on YouTube with Wendy Ntinezo, Mona said she chose to keep it to herself because of the criticism she received on social media when she was pregnant with Amani.

“What happened, that I have not made public, is the death of my second child. I chose not to because the pregnancy already was under so much criticism and I found myself having to defend one of the most beautiful things I have ever experienced and that’s motherhood,

“When seven days later my baby passes in my arms, I’m sitting there and I am like, ‘okay, what’s going on?’… It was very sudden. Again, when you speak of spirituality and knowing, I guess I always knew. I saw the signs, I heard the messages that this was an angel bringing a message and leaving, not necessarily staying,” she told Wendy.

Mona also penned another emotional letter dedicated to her baby Divine Promise. She said she named her Divine Promise because she knew that her birth would come with revelations.

This comes after he was snubbed by the South African Film and TV Awards.
The Saftas have withdrawn Katlego from the nomination list under the Best TV Presenter Public Vote category.

It’s still unclear if this decision was based on the video clip in which Katlego confessed to cheating on his wife went viral last year.

The awards issued a statement on Friday 14 May, confirming Katlego has been removed from the list of nominees.

Part of the statement read: “After careful deliberation, the nomination of Mr Katlego Maboe in the Best TV Presenter Public Vote category, announced on Thursday 29 April 2021, the Saftas jury has decided to rescind his nomination.”

The statement continued: “The decision is effective immediately and voting code 5 has been removed from the voting USSD line.”

South Africa’s golden girl, Nomzamo Mbatha has always been passionate about her humanitarian work and puts it at the forefront of her life.
 

Over the years the “Coming 2 America” actress has been involved in many foundations locally and broad such as becoming a goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR and also setting up the Nomzamo Lighthouse Foundation, that helps support marginalised youth, child-headed homes and senior citizens.

It seems like Nomzamo is missing her outreach work as she posted a few videos on her Instagram reflecting on the things she said brought her “true purpose” in life.

Along with the videos, she posted a lengthy caption saying: “My journey with @refugees has granted me the ability to witness love in many forms.

Frame 1: Breaking up a fight between my little people and wiping those little cheeks to free them of tears.

Frame 2: A man who had fled his home country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, because of war and conflict, sold his house and used the money to buy materials to build a makeshift cinema/movie theatre in the refugee camp and played movies during the day from a DVD player.

Frame 3: Discovering a mathematics genius in a classroom in one of the schools in the camp.

While Kinelo Collins said: “I’m so proud of you, Nomzamo 🙌🙌😍.. You have a heart of gold”.
