15th SAFTAs Craft Awards Winners

he 15th SAFTAs Crafts Awards winners were announced yesterday, 21 May 2020 hosted by actress and TV presenter Lesego Tlhabi and Tracy Lange.
The Craft Awards honor the technical craft of the film and television industry.
The main 15th annual SAFTAs will be broadcasted today on Mzansi Magic 161 and on S3 193 previously known as SABC3.

Award-winning singer Kelly Khumalo scooped the Best Structured Soapie Reality Show. Taking to her Instagram to celebrate her victory, she wrote: “He keeps on blessing me! Congratulations to Me.”

Congratulating Kelly, TV and radio personality Somizi Mhlongo who was also nominated on the same category responded: “Super well deserved…@kingolwee hayi shem wena this category is yours I feel sorry for anyone nominated against your shows for the next 10 years.”

Lunga Shabalala was born on the 22nd of May 1989 Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He was raised in the same area with two other young siblings by his parents. Lunga later on, moved to Johannesburg where he currently resides.
Lunga Shabalala was a talented rugby player in High school, but he chose not to follow his talent. After matriculating, he joined Maritzburg College, where he pursued a diploma in Town Planning. After graduating from college, Lunga had a huge argument with his parents when he decided to put aside town planning in order to pursue showbiz. Thereafter, he moved to Johannesburg at the age of 21 in pursuit of his dreams.

After establishing himself as a model, Lunga contested in a presenter’s search, and he won. He won, and began hosting Selimathunzi after taking over from Kaos Matu. Lunga hosted the show for six consecutive years till 2017 when he handed the ropes to Siphesihle Vazi and Khanya Mkangisa. The 31st of December 2014, saw Lunga Shabalala making his acting debut in the first season of Task Force. Task Force, a police drama series, aired on SABC1.
