Sangoma Letoya Makhene’s Consultation Fees Revealed

Despite it being a calling several sangomas have seen themselves charging exorbitant prices for their services. Well, it seems as if Generations star actress Letoya Makhene hasn’t been spared us too.
In the wake of her much-awaited return on social media, the bubbly actress is trending for the wrong reasons. She has got Mzansi talking after she indicated that she doesn’t charge less for her good works when it comes to tossing around bones.

However in the mix of things Letoya Makhene-Pulumo has been left disappointed by the lack of value placed on her work as a traditional healer, saying she can’t believe the “nerve” of some people.

This was after the Generations: The Legacy actress took to Instagram to update her followers on the recent developments in her practice.
Due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions on travel and the increasing demand for her services, Letoya announced that she had finally decided to offer virtual consultations to keep up with the demand.

“There’s been an increase in bookings for consultations with me and due to the fact that many of these requests come from outside JHB and the inconvenience of travelling due to Covid-19, I’ve had to open myself up to virtual consultations,”
Letoya even directed her customers to her WhatsApp line for more information. While many seemed to appreciate this move in her comments section. However, some fans were boggled by the prices. It costs R1,000 for an hour of Letoya’s time.

In a now-deleted comment, one follower disagreed with the price, saying she couldn’t believe people paid that amount of money only to have people like Letoya “only for uphosa amathambo” (throw bones) for them. Letoya did not take kindly to the comment and went on to lambaste the follower for the disrespect“Wow. You actually said that out loud. That’s the problem with you people. You will gladly pay this amount to sit in a coffee shop with an ‘intuitive’ to give you a reading that will not even shed light on your life in the way that we sangomas will. But you have the nerve to say ‘only for uphosa amathambo’. Sies. La re nyatsa (you look down on us).

“My time is precious and if you want it and my dlozi’s attention… pay for it!” Letoya said.

DJ Lamiez Holworthy builds an orphanage in Tshwane

DJ Lamiez Holworthy’s dream of building an orphanage is finally coming to fruition, thanks to the generosity of the South African people.

She and her rapper husband Khuli Chana have been involved with this home for several years, as they work towards building a permanent structure for the kids – and it seems their dream is finally becoming a reality.

The star has admitted that the task of building and equipping a new orphanage has turned out to be much more challenging than she first imagined.

This led to her recent urgent request on social media for a donor to provide beds and mattresses for the orphanage.“I urgently need someone 2 donate 20 bunk beds or at least sell them 2 me at a discounted rate.

“My heart? Sometimes I feel like I bit off way more than I can chew regarding my orphanage and then I remember that this is bigger than me. Modimo le Badimo Baka always make a way,” she tweeted recently.Petro Riding, co-director of Lotters Pine, said when she saw Lamiez’s appeal on social media, she immediately knew she had to do something about it.

“When we read DJ Lamiez’s appeal on social media, we knew we had to act,” said Riding. Our donation of 20 bunk beds and 40 mattresses will help ensure that the children she is caring for can stay warm and safe this winter – and for many years to come.”

The couple were at the sports centre to receive the bunk beds and shed tears of joy as the beds were unloaded and the children realised they would be sleeping in the comfort of brand new beds.

“We are both so deeply touched by the generosity of individuals and companies who have stepped in to help these vulnerable children.

“Some of them have never slept in a bed before and this basic comfort, that we sometimes take for granted, is now an experience that they will get to have.

“Giving them their own beds is giving them dignity, having a space they can call their own where they can rest, dream and be warm during this cold winter – what a gift! Thank you Lotters Pine and everyone who has pledged to help the Garaletsang Home,” commented DJ Lamiez.

In an interview with Martin Bester on Jacaranda FM on Tuesday, Lamiez explained that in addition to the beds and mattresses, the orphanage has received funding from different organisations and individuals.

Actress Phuti Khomo’s birthday gift from bae stuns Mzansi

Actress and radio personality Phuti Khomo recently celebrated her birthday and her partner made sure it would be one she’d remember for the rest of her life.

Her sister drove her to the middle of nowhere and parked her car. She put on a blindfold to cover Phuthi’s eyes and as soon as they got to where the gift was, she took off the cover from her eyes. At the time, the actress was still unsure what the present was. Her sister called the husband to bring the gift forward and then a big truck approached with red balloons sticking out.
