RIP| Death of Legendary Musician Hits South Africa Hard

“BREAKING: Legendary musician Steve Kekana has died at the age of 63.”


Many people are still in shock and disbelief as the news that the legendary, South African born musician Steve Kekana has sadly passed away, has been confirmed today.

Steve Kekana was a musician based in South Africa, he had a disability of blindness. Although Steve was blind he didn’t let that stop him from being a chart topping musician. He proved that even with any kind of disability you can achieve what you want and that you must not let anything stop from achieving what you desire.

Although Steve was blind, he went on with education and was able to get a Law degree.

People had this to say about his death.

“My heart is broken, this legend has soothed many souls through his music. Rest well Dr Kekana, rest well” said one of his fans.Some of us were age mates. Grew up on the guy’s music. Loved how he proceeded to acquire a Law degree with his eyesight issues. Rest in power my human being, you went and did it all”

The Legend Steve Kekana Has Passed Away

News just broke now that the legendary singer Steve Kekana has passed away, Steve kekana was born on the 4th of August 1958 in Transvaal, he died at the age of 63 he was a South African singer and song writer, he was famously known by his song ” take your love and leave me, I don’t need it anymore’ , it was reported that he lost his eye sight at the age of 5, but that did not stove him from furthering the dreams of his love of music.


For so many years he gave us the classical music despite his condition, he was blind but kept on producing great music that we all still relate today, he natured his love for music at a very tender age up until his last days in this world, the cause of his death has not been confirmed yet, looking at his biography it is said that he attended the school of blind in Pietersburg where he joined the singing group during his teenage years.

Steve Kekana was married to his ex wife by the name of Ntsiki Kekana and later on they got divorced following the reports that his wife was ill treating him and that is how he left his matrimonial home, despite what led to the divorce as we all know that relationships have their own ups and downs, Mr Kekana has grown to make an impact in a lot of people’s lives through his music, his music still hold the same effects, you can relate to every song that he has.

He was not only a musician, He is a University graduate with B Juris and LLB degrees, he is also reported to have been an advocate and a lecture in the labour of law at the University of South Africa.

The star shared the teaser on Twitter stating he will be dropping the episode on Thursday morning.

The award-winning artist is one of the biggest Maskandi artist in the country and has a huge fan base especially in KZN MacG fans and Khuzani’s supporters shared that they cannot wait to watch the interview after MacG posted a funny teaser

He hilariously butchered the isiZulu language in the hilarious teaser that he posted on Twitter on Wednesday, 30 June.

MacG’s fans shared that they’ll not miss the new episode featuring the KwaZulu-Natal-born artist also known as Indlamlenze.

The host captioned his post: “Dropping this Thursday.”

Bra Dan has been described as a consummate professional who was warm, welcoming and had infectious laughter.

He worked at Primedia Broadcasting for 37 years.

He leaves behind his wife and children.

Sneziey Msomi opens up about claims she is a sangoma

Sneziey Msomi has caused a lot of chaos on social media after she shared a picture of herself wearing isphandla (a traditional wristband made from goat or cow skin).
This picture made many of her fans wonder if she is now a Sangoma even after being a Christian and gospel musician.Sneziey who shared the snap innocently have been getting questions about her ancestral calling.

Others started congratulating her for being a sangoma while many questioned her spirituality; assuming she had dumped her faith as a Christian and gospel musician.

In response to these questions and claims, the Izulu singer explained that she does not owe anyone an explanation.

In an Instagram post, and in her mother tongue, IsiZulu, she explained that she is still a Christian and she loves Jesus very much.

Sneziey said: “Dear Christians, I am not a sangoma and I have not gone through any initiation process (ukuthwasa).

“I, Sinenhlanhla Msomi, am a born again Christian and I love Jesus, but I am also a child at the Msomi household. I was raised here and the Msomis perform traditional and cultural ceremonies, so I would never go as far a questioning that,” she explained.

The singer went on to explain that her fans will still see her wearing isiphandla. She added that her family is still planning umemulo for her, which is a coming of age ceremony.

“I will not defy the rules in this household, instead I will humble myself. Remember what our Bible says about respect? It does not only apply to our pastors or the church, but also to our parents who raised us,” the singer said.
