Well, this 40 year-old Eastern Cape born star is no longer fascinating viewers as she used to. The character that she has been given on the Queen is hated by so many people, and some of those people have been threatening to stop watching The Queen because of her. Fans hate the way she speaks, she makes it obvious that she is in front of cameras, she’s forcing to be funny and kinda lacks naturality.

Generations: The Legacy welcomes new actress Thandeka Shangase. Here is what you need to know

The story line on popular SABC 1 soapie Generations: The Legacy is about to take a new twist with the introduction of a new actress.

Thandeka Shangase will join the soapie in what will be her biggest breakthrough since she decided to become an actress.

Her first episode airs on Monday, and while Shangase said she couldn’t share many details, she did say it was an emotional episode.

As a child growing up in Umlazi, Shangase had her first exposure to the acting world in a theatre production while in Grade 7.

“I had no clue of the world I had just set foot in and had even less of a clue about the technicalities required to pull off a production. All I knew was that I was the star, and about 2500 people had come to see me perform,” she said.

“I did sports and was part of the debating team and thought acting was amazing, but still didn’t know if I could turn it into a career. When I started my drama and production studies at the Durban University of Technology, I knew that acting was my calling, and it was more than just a dream,” she said.

In 2017, Shangase moved to Johannesburg to pursue acting until one day, after what felt like countless callbacks, she was cast on the television show called Next of Next Week.

This was where her confidence grew and she pushed even harder.

“In 2020, I got the part to do my first commercial advert for Absa Insurances, which ran for a whole year, and then they renewed it for another year. After that, I was involved in a few other projects from radio drama, educational theatre and more adverts,” she said.

Shangase said it was mentally taxing to attend auditions, only to get told you were not good enough for the job.

Shooting began on August 10, only a week after she was told that she had landed the part. She said when she read the script, it was humbling to know that a whole creative team created a character without meeting her.

Isencane Lengane: “Thando is no different from Thando” observes viewers after last night’s episode

While you’re here, please follow me!

There’s an English proverb that speaks of birds of the same feathers flocking together! The meaning is that [people] of similar type, interest, personality, character, or other distinctive attribute tend to mutually associate. Now, how does this even apply to Thando? When Isencane Lengane started airing, viewers used to differentiate between Siyacela and Thando. The longer they stayed together, the more they started being one and the same thing. Now Thando has adopted Siyacela’s tendencies and can be quite rude and brainless!

On last night’s episode, the two decided to do shopping on the day of the funeral. This is weird and just creepy. They had all the time to do their shopping prior to this but they still decided to go on the day of the funeral, resulting in them arriving at the funeral after 1pm! Who gets to a funeral after then? Why bother going if you’ll only arrive when they dish up! The couple is just vibes now, Thando doesn’t even call her husband to order!

With their behaviour and talking on last night’s episode, viewers observed that Thando has gradually changed into a female version of Siyacela and should just quit school because it seems it’s not even helping her thinking capacity!

Who goes shopping on the day of the burial ??? Thando and siyacela are momiesh 🚮 #isencaneLengane

For the longest time, we thought Thando was the clever one. We were wrong. These two are birds of a feather #isencaneLengane @Siya_Emmanuel

Yazi sometimes I listen to the things Thando says… somar why didn’t she just quit school like Siyacela bcoz wow 😩🚮#IsencaneLengane https://t.co/8JrOglLFq3

Thando no Siyacela bayaku shopping on the day of the funeral 😳😳#isencaneLengane https://t.co/sltczsImrS

#isencaneLengane Thando and Siyacela are still young. Imagine rocking up at a funeral at 13H00.

I wish I was like Siyacela. No school no stress. Just complain all day.
