Marise and Handre announced news of their first pregnancy after the Boks won their second consecutive Rugby World Cup in November 2023.

The couple live in the UK, where Handre plays club rugby.

On her Instagram Stories, Marise Pollard gave her followers a glimpse at her stylish baby shower, which took place over the weekend in the Brookdale Estate in Paarl, Western Cape.

Attended by Springbok WAGS Ingrid Malherbe and Holly Clare Nichol, the picture shower featured a blue and yellow theme colour. And many believe the colours are a hint that the striking couple is expecting a baby boy.

“Great food, amazing people, and a glowing mother-to-be,” Holly posted on her own IG account. The captioned was accompanied by a blue heart emoji.

In the pics, Marise – who recently returned to South Africa – wore a blue and white summer dress, which showed off her baby bump.

“I took my staff to Durban for a vacation, I didn’t know that we would heal each other, we spent soooo much time with each other, we forgot we had phones. For the first time in months I totally forgot about the world and experienced a different type of love. I invited my siblings too.

This year I am showing up for people that showed up for me. To actually be able to take my whole staff for a holiday, our salon is only 3 months old!!!! Imagine the things we’d be doing in a year.

To company owners, know what your people go through to help you achieve your dreams. I cried the whole trip, but I’m blessed to have such a strong team. I have a new family.
