Social media went into overdrive after the relationship between Zimkhitha Mbete and fashion designer Hadassah Bhero was leaked.

Mbete said her brand was on trend with the demand for “genuine influencers” and she only shared “real” moments with her 38,000 Instagram followers.

“We are disrupting the socalled perfect moments online. Users no longer want to see filtered, retouched and seemingly flawless photos; they want content they can relate to in their day-to-day life.”

To stay true to herself, Mbete holds fast to her values, beliefs and the understanding that “everyone’s path is different”.

Inspired by Liqui Fruit, the partnership with Bhero aims to disrupt the artificial social media lifestyle with authentic and unaltered representation. Mbete travelled the country her social media feed shows stylish beach and mountain fashion shots, with upwards of 6,000 likes a post.

“Being authentic also means being real with oneself, knowing when to push and when to stop and take a breather to find inspiration,” she said.

However, working in content creation was not always the “glitz and glamour” the shimmering filters and body-altering apps promoted.

“Users engage more to relatable honest content because we all know that no one is perfect.”

The cornerstone saying to “face it until I make it” rather than “fake it until I make it” encouraged Mbete to construct her brand on a foundation of loyalty and personal engagement.

In an image of the partnership posted to her Instagram page, a radiant Mbete rocked a juicy Bhero design, exuding confidence and flair.

“I love what this campaign is about, pushing realness above everything, motivating everyone to live by their own true colours and to embrace what is real in the world.”

Durban-based designer Bhero said she drew inspiration from visual elements of three Liqui Fruit flavours: Cranberry Cooler, Orange and Berry Blaze.

She has 13,000 followers on Instagram.

Bhero designed a custom “Swag Kit” for Mbete, which consisted of a halter top, various brightly coloured skirts and a tropical green kaftan for her to showcase on her social media platforms.

Adorned with tropical parrots, pineapples, foliage and fruit, each piece is meticulously constructed with detail and flair.

Phamotse did not mention any names but those who responded to the post were quick to mention that she was referring to celebrities who have passed on.

Since the beginning of the year, more than 4 celebrities have died.

Currently, Mzansi is mourning the death of another celebrity DJ Dimplez who died on Sunday after he collapsed.

DJ Dimplez’ death comes after the death of rapper Riky Rick who committed suicide on February 23.

Actor, Patrick Shai died early this year after he committed suicide and journalist Kuli Roberts also passed on after she collapsed.

DJ City Lyts also made headlines after he was shot dead recently.

Although she did not shed more light, if those who responded to Phamotse’s post are correct to conclude it’s celebrities’ death, it appears Phamotse is alleging that all these deaths that involve celebrities.

Phamotse’s post received mixed reactions as some were quick to dismiss her comment while some encouraged her to shed more light.

Some said she just wanted to promote her books.

This tweet was very disturbing especially given the fact that South Africa had just lost DJ dimplez. It seems she is insinuating that all this death what celebrities is not coincidental. South Africans took to the tweet and started commenting on things to know more. She however did not give any of them an explanation.

Dj Dimplez passed away this last Sunday. This came as to the industry and his fans. His family released an official statement confirming the death rumours.

“It is with deep sadness that the Mooi family announces the untimely death of Boitumelo Athiel Mooi, Popularly known as Dj Dimplez.” Part of the statement read.

The family further revealed that the famous DJ passed away from a sudden Brain haemorrhage. This is a type of stroke or simply bleeding in the brain.

A lot of fans are saddened and celebrities like Lady Du have expressed their shock. This is indeed a huge loss to the industry and the hip hop genre in South Africa. Details about his funeral has not yet been made public. A huge condolences to his family and fans

Boitumelo Athiel Mooi known as Dj Dimplez died yesterday after collapsing in his house in the morning. South Africans are saddened by his death since they just buried another Hip Hop star on the 1st of March 2022.

Now that Dj Dimplez has died. Mzansi has reopened an issue he mentioned last year in May 2021 and got dragged over it, being raped or sexually harassed. When Dj Dimplez opened up about the lady wbo raped him, mzansi made funny of his story. He got dragged for telling his truth. But today the very same people that took his Instagram and Facebook revelations to Twitter are showing him love when he is no longer with us. Dj Dimplez was living with brain haemorrhage, which he has been battling for a while. It’s sad the family confirmed that he passed on. May he rest in peace.
