Thembinkosi Lorch nicknamed Nyoso, was born 22 July 1993 in Bloemfontein, Free State province. Lorch started playing football at Maluti FET College FC. He performed well in a game where they were playing with Jomo Cosmos FC and that`s where Piretes began to be interested in him. The club(Orlando Pirates) eventually signed him and loaned him to Chippa United.

Lorch has been the best player in Orlando Pirates since his arrival. He played a fantastic football in the 2019 premier league season where he earned himself the South African player of the season award. The current season of 2021/2022 has seen Orlando Pirates playing poor games in all competitions. However, they have managed to reach the Caf confederation cup final but lost the game on penalties to the Moroccan side RS Berkane.
