Senzo Robert Meyiwa was a South African professional footballer who captained both the Orlando Pirates of the Premier Soccer League and the South African national team. On October 26, 2014, he was shot and during a home invasion.

Senzo was in a botched robbery at his girlfriend, Kelly’s mother’s home, just a few weeks after his club, the Orlando Pirates, announced that they would give half of his insurance payout to his children.

In his post on social media, a man known as Mlungu reckoned that if Senzo Meyiwa had been faithful to his wife, he would still be alive. He went on to say that God expects us to be faithful for our good. Faithfulness protects us from pain and evil. He advised people to be faithful to you even if others are not. It’s a biblical law.

People took his statement differently. Some agreed with him, while others thought it was more of an insult to the late Orlando Pirates star, and they told Solomon to Solomon Solomon.

No one deserves to die in such a cruel way. Let his soul RIP. As for your statement that he had to be faithful from the beginning, it is very true.

I think you want to say that has consequences. Maybe he was going to die, but you don’t know this was the cause, so don’t be insensitive my friend, but I’m with you, unfaithfulness has consequences.

Even if you are true to yours, do you even have one? It is easy to point others out as if your are perfect.No amount of faithfulness to a person will keep us alive, but living a meaningful life of purpose and serving him earnestly has a life beyond the flesh.

Dying can happen early or later, but no marriage, faithfulness, or unfaithfulness can prevent it. Only God does. So the late Senzo’s life was called, but he served well. His came first. No one knows when that last breath will be, either way. May his soul continue to rest well.

If it were not for God’s mercy, not a single one of us would have made it. Senzo was not a worse sinner than any of us (yes, adultery is a sin) and so are other kinds of sins.
