The story of Elvis Nyathi is one that will not be easily forgotten given how it got a lot of attention because it was said that Elvis Nyathi was a foreigner and he was burned to death by South Africans, and some went as far as saying it was members of Operation Dudula. The strange thing about this death was that nobody ever saw the crime scene of the incident. It was said that Elvis Nyathi burnt to ashes but it became a shock to many South Africans when it was his memorial service, his body could be seen. Many people have been trying to raise awareness of this alleged death of Elvis Nyathi but the media never insisted that he died as they were the first to report on this story. Indeed it is true in this country when they say journalists are captured.

 

We also saw how the wife of Elvis Nyathi got attention from the media as they wanted to know more about what happened to him. Even the EFF went to the home of Elvis Nyathi to show their support to the widow. The woman was able to explain what happened to Nyathi and what led to his death that night.

We know that there are people who have been arrested in connection with Elvis Nyathi’s death. One would have easily thought that it would be easy for the wife of Elvis Nyathi to go and give evidence in court as she tries to find justice for his husband, but that is just not the case. Now the wife is refusing to testify for her husband who was brutally killed by South Africans as they say. This just leaves room for more speculation as to why she would not want to testify to get justice for her late husband.
