The body of slain Hip Hop artist AKA has now arrived in Johannesburg.

The musician was outside a Durban restaurant on Friday night and funeral details are yet to be made public.

 

 

 

 

Lawyers representing the family of Kiernan Forbes, also known as AKA , have confirmed that the late rapper’s body has arrived in Johannesburg.

AKA is considered as one of the most influential entertainers to have graced the local scene.

His murder grabbed international news headlines and his family has asked for privacy during their time of mourning.

A family lawyer, however, was able to issue an update to members of the media.

“Yesterday, as you would have seen, we spent the day in Durban, where we went to identify him with the brother and the father. We spent time with the detectives and came back with him and he is now in Johannesburg,” says the lawyer.

The late musicians brother and father were seen laying flowers on the spot he was shot and killed in Durban.
