So much so, that when she shared photos of herself with a sparkly new set, many people asked her to please plug them with the hair fibre for their children.

Heeding to their call, the singer then launched a website selling all sorts of colourful and sparkly hair fibres.Unsurprisingly, the hair sold out pretty quickly and she couldn’t be anymore chuffed. Taking to X, she thanked everyone for the support:“Ok, you guys were NOT PLAYING! 13,000 visitors on the site. Most colors sold out in the first few hours. I got to see what colors you liked the most and phase 2 of orders is coming in just a few days!. It’s going to be a very sparkly December,” she wrote last year.In light of her success, she launched a new product — detachable colourful braids. While it’s only been a few weeks on the market, moms are worried the hair will cause too much excitement for their little ones.

One mom hilariously called Sho Madjozi out for starting the hair craze.

Edwin Sodi’s alleged R16 million restaurant deal EX POSED

South Africa’s controversial businessman Edwin Sodi is trending against the backdrop of his alleged Sandton restaurant deal. Reports have it that Sodi tried to splurge R16 million on an upmarket restaurant last year.A local publication reports that Edwin Sodi allegedly tried to buy The Greenhouse bar and restaurant in Sandton, Johannesburg.

Against the news, Mzansi has been trying to connect the dots about the deal since The National Prosecuting Authority seized Sodi’s 19 active accounts. The forfeiture unit also seized 29 cars and 27 properties in 2020. Edwin Sodi’s lush R75 million Morningside mega-mansion is also on sale.

Sunday World reports that he paid R5 million to Greenhouse owner Heinz Rynners using his lawyer, Swen Laurencik of LPP Attorneys, as a front. LLP Attorneys’ business account paid the downpayment.According to alleged leaked conversations, the joint would be registered against Sodi’s frontman’s name upon completing the deal. However, the troubled businessman failed to settle the remaining balance, leading to the deal’s cancellation.

Rumour mill has it that Edwin Sodi allegedly tried to get a lease from Rynners’ landlord. Against this incident, Rynners called off the deal, which is now before the courts.

Speaking to the media, Rynners said, “The matter is currently going through litigation. I am preparing a court application. I would like to check in with my lawyer before I comment any further about this.”Despite Rynners confirming the news, Edwin Sodi has yet to address the rumours that have thrust him into top trends. However, it is alleged that Edwin Sodi claims that he settled the amount; hence, the ownership should be changed.

Thapelo Molomo works on a cruise ship to make a living

Pop idol culture in Mzansi is typically ephemeral and has proven to be challenging to preserve. A group or person who gained popularity quickly usually doesn’t last long, and Thapelo Molomo, the winner of season 18 of Idols, is no exception. After winning the competition, the former SAPS warrant officer quit and is currently employed on a cruise ship, according to ZiMoja.

His powerful voice and charming personality won over the judges and audiences alike, and it seemed like he was destined for greatness. After his victory, Molomo received a million Rand in cash, signed a record deal and released an album, which received positive reviews.

He toured the world and even performed at the opening ceremony of the recent Africa Cup of Nations. However, despite his early success, Molomo struggled to maintain his momentum in the competitive music industry. As time passed, Molomo’s financial situation became increasingly dire. He was no longer able to make a living from his music, and he struggled to find other opportunities. He even tried selling atchaar and eggs when gigs dried out. In the end, he made the bold decision to apply for a job on a cruise ship. After being employed as a waiter, Molomo made an immediate impression on his managers with his diligence and upbeat demeanor. He rose through the ranks of the ship’s hospitality department to become the manager of a group of waiters and bartenders.Although Molomo’s current job is a far cry from his days as an Idols winner, he is grateful for the stability and security it provides. He is able to support his family and save some money for the future. He also continues to pursue his passion for music in his spare time, performing for his colleagues and guests on the ship. According to sources close to the situation, he left SA in October last year.

“He will be returning now in March for a few weeks and he has already been promised a new contract by his employer that is how impressive he has been. He is doing both what he loves and gets to travel too,” adds the source

The musician claims in an interview with ZiMoja that he was unable to turn down the chance to travel and earn a stable income. “One should seize an opportunity with both hands if they come across one anywhere in South Africa, as they might not present themselves again,” he stated.Although Molomo stated that he will not give up on music, he is savoring the opportunity to travel and pursue his passion. When asked if he would keep performing, Molomo said that he had stopped singing evangelical music before starting his work and that he would do the same upon his return. When he will return home permanently is a mystery to him.

Rebecca Malope on career, motherhood, and being a grandma.

After Rebecca’s sister and best friend Cynthia passed away suddenly in 1996, Rebecca, who cannot have children of her own, had to take care of her three children, Zweli, Noluthando and Thandeka.

It was a tough time, Rebecca explains, but she was only too happy to raise them as her own. “I worked really hard and made sure they were fed, and went to school,” she says.Noluthando describes her mom as fun yet strict. “She is more of a mentor and constantly wants to know what I am up to in terms of my career and business. She is always trying to organise our lives,” she says with a laugh.

The youngest of the three children, Thandeka, also emphasises how strict their mom is. “When we were still in school, our friends’ parents needed to call her and confirm that indeed we were going to visit their home.”This protectiveness continued even when she was at Varsity College studying for her BA in corporate communications, Thandeka says. But through it all, they will never forget the lessons they’ve learnt from the gospel star. Sis Ribs taught them to work hard and strive for independence.Noluthando says, “She has always emphasised the importance of being independent outside of your mom, your sister or your husband.”Noluthando manages her mother in addition to running her own public relations and management firm, Artistry Talent Management, and pursuing a degree in marketing.
She is a television presenter as well, having hosted Married in a Flash on SABC3. The entrepreneur says that when she originally started her company, nobody ever recognized her as her own brand; instead, they would only refer to her as “Rebecca’s daughter.”

Noluthando says the family usually spends the weekend at Rebecca’s house. The three children have all moved out of the family nest but don’t stay too far from each other.“We love to chill and watch TV. She loves cooking and so she will prepare meals while we catch up on what is going on in our lives,” she says.
Rebecca’s singing career began in 1987, when she became well-known right away after winning the Shell Road to Fame song competition. The famous singer had always aspired to be a gospel artist, and she had even collaborated with the Soweto Congregational Church Choir to create a gospel CD. However, it was withheld so she could compete in and win the Shell competition. The mother of three has put out 36 albums in all.
