Eight-year-old Kairo Forbes celebrated her eighth birthday on Saturday 8 July, marking her first birthday without her dad – slain rapper AKA – here’s how she spent her day.

Kairo Forbes is the daughter of South African DJ Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, and slain rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA. AKA was shot dead outside of Wish restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on 10 February along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane. So, this marked her first birthday without her father.

How did she spend the day? According to DJ Zinhle’s Instagram Stories, Kairo started with breakfast at Starbucks. She also spent the last week in New York with AKA’s mom Lynn “Glammy” Forbes.

Loud singing, dancing and cheering was the order of the the day at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg when sensational amputee dancer Musa Motha arrived home on Saturday, 8 July.

The captivating dancer, who left audiences worldwide in awe of his talent with his performances on Britain’s Got Talent (BGT), successfully reached the final of the UK show earlier this year.

He also made history on the talent search competition as the first contestant to receive a group golden buzzer.

MUSA MOTHA GETS WA WELCOME BACK HOME
In a video by eNCA, friends and members of the Emfuleni Municipality celebrated Musa – who is from Sebokeng in Gauteng – for a successful journey in the show despite not winning it.

“I have learnt that people might forget what you said, people might also forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel, I won’t forget how yall made me feel. A huge thank you to South Africa for the warm welcome. I won’t forget this day in my entire life.

“Thanks to Emfuleni for their love and support, the minister’s office for making time to be present for my welcome. The list goes on and on, thank you so much.” he wrote on Instagram.HONOURS AND AWARDS
Since BGT, Musa was honoured at the 2023 National Dance Awards on 5 June at The Coronet Theatre in Notting Hill Gate, London.

The 27-year-old was presented with the Emerging Artist Award.

Earlier this month, he also won The Times Breakthrough Award at The South Bank Sky Arts Awards in London.WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS LEG?

Earlier today, South African gossip blogger Musa Khawula reported that local musician Nkosazana Daughter just bought herself a new set of wheels. While her fans were mostly proud of the great achievement, those who watched the clip were left feeling a little concerned. This is because judging by the video, the singer was facing a little difficulty exiting the dealership.

Many couldn’t help but wonder out loud whether or not she could actually drive and worried that something might happen to the new and undoubtedly expensive car.

Gossip blogger Musa Khawula made most of those fans super proud after revealing that she has just bought herself a brand new Volkswagen.The controversial Pope of Pop Culture also shared a clip of the singer driving out of the dealership with her new baby.
