Speaking with the publication, Nasty C shared that although he had always taken pride in his music career, fatherhood has made him focus more on the bigger picture which is to leave a legacy behind.

“Fatherhood has made me take my career a bit more seriously. I’ve always taken it seriously but I’ve always put fun at the forefront. I’ve always been the type of guy to say, ‘Once this thing stops being fun [then] I’m going to stop doing it’, [but] now, it’s not like that anymore,” he was quoted as saying.

“I’m trying to make music that will last forever more than ever. I want to leave something behind that he’s going to be proud of,” the rapper was quoted as saying.

MORE ABOUT THE RAPPER’S SON
Earlier this month, Nasty C took to his Instagram page and posted a picture of a gold tooth with the name Oliver on it along with a screenshot of a song that he hasn’t released yet, titled Dear Oliver. He accompanied the screenshot with a family emoji and had his social media followers convinced that he and his girlfriend had already picked out the name for their baby who was believed not to have been born at the time.

According to ZiMoja, Nasty C’s tiny tot’s name is indeed Oliver and also has two other names that have not been revealed yet. Speaking about his son to the publication, the SMA hitmaker was quoted as saying,

“He arrived a few weeks ago. He is a strong little boy… “He has a Zulu name, an English and a Japanese name.”

Katlego Maboe’ ex-girlfriend and baby mama Monique Muller has accused him of putting her in a financial predicament after refusing to pay their son’s school fees.

The Cape Town woman has shared a lengthy rant on her Instagram account in which she also accused the Deal Or No Deal presenter of “economic abuse.”

In 2020, Monique was granted a protection order against Katlego after she accused him of domestic abuse. Katlego was also accused of being unfaithful and allegedly giving her an STI.

In February 2022, the star was acquitted, with the court ruling that there were “no grounds” for the abuse allegations.

KATLEGO MABOE PUT ON BLAST BY BABY MAMA
Without naming him, Monique Muller called out Katlego Maboe for allegedly refusing to pay 100% of their son’s private school fees.

She posted: “Are there any other 6-figure earning fathers refusing to pay their kids school fees?

“It really be the celebs y’all fight for… that pleads poverty when it comes to taking care of their kids. And literally willing to let their child go without education. But plays ‘Father of the Year’”.

She sarcastically added: “Maybe Deal or No Deal can donate some funds there. I can forward the school’s banking details. Or are his fans willing to donate?”.

In IG Stories that followed, Monique alleged that Katlego Maboe had insisted their son attend a top private school in Cape Town. But Monique claimed that the presenter wanted her to foot half of the bill, which she could allegedly not afford.

She continued: “You earn ten times more than your baby mama. So, paying school fees in full would not affect your pocket. But you insist that half of her salary must go to school fees (we see this all the time with financial abuse in maintenance courts”.

Monique further alleged that Katlego was “hiding” his multiple income streams.

The South African contacted Katlego for comment. None was received at the time of publishing.

FROM LOVERS TO SWORN ENEMIES?
Before their romance turned sour, Katlego Maboe and Monique Muller were once one of Mzansi’s cutest celebrity couples.

The couple began dating in 2018 and welcomed their son Phoenix together that same year.

But things went south in 2020 when a video of Katlego confessing to having an affair with a colleague went viral. In the clip – filmed by Monique – Katlego was also accused of giving her an STI.

Monique later accused Katlego of being physically abusive towards her and filed charges – including a protection order – against him. As a result of the public scrutiny, Katlego was given a leave of absence by his SABC 3 employer, Expresso. He was also sacked as the face of Outsurance.

Katlego then sued Monique, her brother Seth Muller, and two other parties for R1 million each, alleging they “ruined” his career. He also demanded that all parties apologise and retract their allegations.

In 2022, Kalego was acquitted of charges of assault. He returned to his position as Expresso host in August, following a bombshell “tell all.”

Pearl told DJ Fresh that her relationship with DJ Zinhle is that of a sisterhood and it is normal for sisters to disagree.

“Zinhle and I have always been friends. I consider Zinhle to be a sister, to be honest, and I have three sisters,” she told the former 947 host.

“There have been many times when I’ve had a sister where we don’t speak for half a year, or a long time, just to give each other peace because we can’t seem to find some sort of equilibrium. With Zinhle, we did have a moment but it wasn’t a moment of we’re not friends anymore, hate each other, disgusting, I’ll never speak with you again, we’ve broken up type thing.

“We’re adults, we’re growing, we’re evolving, so, sometimes we’re going to have moments we’re not agreeing on things,” she explained.

Pearl further explained that the reason she and Zinhle were always seen together was because they lived together some years ago.

“However, I must say that Zinhle and I, our lives have evolved over time. There was a time you’ll obviously see us together because we were living together. Then she moved out, now she’s married, she has another child, she’s been through so much she’s building an empire. Here I am making sure that the empire is growing in the little way I can as well.

“I think there’s a microscopic energy towards us,” she added.

The Company hitmaker — whose real name is Kiernan Jarryd Forbes — was sadly gunned down in February in Durban. He is the father of Zinhle’s first daughter, Kairo Forbes (8).
