‘Senzo Meyiwa got shot after jealous Longwe Twala caught Zandie cheating on him with Mthoko’

Senzo Meyiwa’s brother, Sifiso Meyiwa, says he knows without a shadow of a doubt that no intruders entered the house the night his football star brother was killed.

Speaking to eNCA on Sunday, 27 August, Sifiso reiterated what he has always told media, that Longwe was the one who arrived with a at the Khumalo family home because he could not get ahold of his then-girlfriend Zandie Khumalo.

“Longwe arrived with a firearm. He was very angry. They said that he was so angry he did not greet anyone in the house. He was angry because he could not get ahold of Zandie,” he explained to the news channel.Sifiso claims that Zandie had slept at Kelly’s place the day before the incident. In the house, he says, were Kelly, Senzo, Zandie, and Senzo’s friend Mthokozisi Thwala.

“Longwe arrived there [at Kelly’s] that night and saw that there were two guys and two ladies. He left and returned [on the day of the incident] furious because he felt he was being lied to and made an idiot because his girlfriend is cheating with Senzo’s friend from Durban.

“When he arrived he fought with Zandie and when they fought, there was a ruckus. He pulled out a firearm. The first bullet hit the floor and hit Zandie on the foot. Then there was a tussle for the gun and I don’t know how the trigger was pulled. That is what needs to be explained. But he [Longwe] wasn’t the only one holding the gun at that time, they were fighting over it,” he said.

He aadded that when he arrived in Johannesburg, one the powerful people involved in allegedly fabricating the botched robbery story confessed to him that it “was all lies.”

“He pulled me to the side and said ‘son, all this talk about intruders entering the house is not true. It’s all for the media because Senzo was loved… what happened was that he [Senzo] was shot when Zandie and her boyfriend were fighting,’” said Sifiso.

Joy for DJ Maphorisa as assault case against him withdrawn

Popular South African music producer DJ Maphorisa, real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe, is a free man. The Mnike hitmaker appeared at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 25 August, where he heard that the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has withdrawn the case against him.

This comes after Maphorisa was arrested in May this year for allegedly assaulting his actress girlfriend Thuli Phongolo at her Sandton home.

After his first court appearance following his arrest, he was granted R4 000 bail, and the former Generations: The Legacy subsequently filed a withdrawal statement. However, the NPA decided to continue with the case.We can confirm that the case against DJ Maphorisa was withdrawn after he lodged representations with the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions which were successful. He lodged representations, and upon studying them we then took a decision to withdraw [the charges].“Remember that the complainant in the matter filed a withdrawal statement. So that meant we had to look into any other areas that we had to prove our case. Upon such consideration, the office of the director of prosecutions took a decision to withdraw the case,” NPA spokesperson, Phindi Mjonondwane said.

Earlier this month, Sunday World Maphorisa rejected the NPA’s proposal to do anger management courses before it withdraws the charges against him.A source said some of the reasons given by the producer extraordinaire, was that he needed to prove he was innocent because if he didn’t, he would always have the abuser tag hanging over his head.

He also said he cannot lose out on anti-gender-based violence and women empowerment gigs. The source also said that he stands to be canceled by a number of sponsors and endorsement companies should he not prove his innocence.

Social media users defend Katlego Maboe after he was accused of not supporting his child

Users from X, formerly known as Twitter, have chosen to defend their favourite presenter Katlego Maboe. This comes after his ex, Monique Muller, took to Instagram to speak out about Maboe being a deadbeat father. The pair have a five-year-old boy, and Monique is alleging that Katlego is refusing to take care of their child. She also accused him of lying about his income in court. In different posts and videos, she said her baby daddy decided to put their son in an expensive school but only pays half of the school fees. Monique says she cannot afford to pay the other half and has suggested they take the child to a more affordable school, but Maboe allegedly refused.

Social media users were quick to call Monique Muller toxic for bringing this situation on social media and said that she was using the child to fight battles. While others felt that Maboe was in debt since he was not working for a long time.

@ZizweMabece wrote, “@KatlegoMaboe must just take her to court and take his children.. If I was the judge, I’d give Katlego full custody of the children.. and I’d make her pay child support.”

@destinyzee wrote, “Some women aren’t even getting a cent from their baby daddies and they don’t complain. Him paying 50% of school fees is better than nothing. The day women realise that on a child you go 50/50 is the day life will be better. I stand with Katlego Maboe.”

Senzo Meyiwa’s best friend Tumelo Madlala wanted to tell the truth when he died, but he got ‘bewitched’ by a powerful Sangoma

Sifiso Meyiwa, who is the brother of slain soccer star Senzo Meyiwa, says Tumelo Madlala wanted to tell the truth when the former Bafana Bafana captain was shot and killed on 26 October 2014 at his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s family home in Vosloorus.

In a recent interview with eNCA, Sifiso said that the Tumelo who testified in court is not the Tumelo they know and who loved the footballer.

“Tumelo was so fond of Senz, he used to say that he would die for him,” Sifiso told eNCA journalists Manqoba Mchunu.

He further said that a lot happened immediately after his brother’s murder.“They took Tumelo to a sangoma. I believe he was cloned… That isn’t the Tumelo we know. The real Tumelo would have told the truth.

“They are protecting someone because on the day Senzo died, someone who was present (whom I will not mention) heard an angry Tumelo saying ‘you brought me from Umlazi to see this nonsense.’ They were blocking him and when they said a cover-up story was needed, Tumelo said ‘No! I will not do that’.

“He [Tumelo] wanted to tell the truth, but they took him to a sangoma,” Sifiso said.

While being cross-examination by defence counsel Advocate Zithulele Nxumalo at the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on 10 August, Tumelo angrily denied some of the evidence given by Kelly.

In her statement, the Bazokhumula singer said that she saw Senzo Meyiwa, Mthokozisi Thwala and Tumelo struggling with one of the intruders who allegedly entered the house that night.

“I saw a spot of blood on his back and then I turned him over and I saw a lot of blood on his chest,” Nxumalo said, reading from the singer’s statement.
