“Dear ladies, if you needed a sign to wear those summer dresses, shorts, bikinis and skirts — even with your big thighs, legs, stretch marks, cellulite and hyperpigmentation — here it is,” she wrote.“I won’t lie, I almost allowed my insecurities and fears to get the better of me — and then it hit me: I feel amazing! I look and feel amazing, even with the above ‘flaws’ that society constantly makes us feel uncomfortable about.

“As for me? I know, I see them, I live with them and if I don’t have an issue with them, I don’t see why anyone else should, so here I saved the cyberbullies some trouble and pointed out all that they’ve tried to shame me with.”

If anyone knows how it feels to live a life in the public eye with constant trolling, it’s Lamiez. The DJ is no stranger to social media trolls and is known for her clap-backs. She has been on the receiving end of body-shaming trolls who take aim at her for everything from her hairstyle to how she dresses.“Some day when we have time, we must discuss how and why it is so easy to find joy in the failures and pain of others. How we really are [our] own enemies and instead of building, we choose to destroy,” she wrote on her Facebook timeline.

“We must then discuss how brazen most are behind their keyboards and how easy it is to not only [to] think but type these evil thoughts.”

Mzansi Youth Choir headed to ‘America’s Got Talent’ finale

The Mzansi Youth Choir has made it to the finale of season 18 of ‘America’s Got Talent’ (AGT) after an amazing performance of ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac.

The choristers made history when they received the Golden Buzzer for their tribute to Nightbirde in the semi-finals.

Simon Cowell was previously in tears after hearing their motivation behind choosing to audition that specific song.

Jane Marczewski, better known by her stage name Nightbirde, sang the same song and received a Golden Buzzer during the 16th season, but was unable to progress to the next round of AGT due to cancer. On February 19, 2022, she passed away.

The choristers were inspired by the admirable way in which Nightbirde approached her challenges in life and felt it would be appropriate to continue her legacy, singing their interpretation of her original song.Celebrity judges Heidi Klum and Sophie Vergara gushed about how exceptional the choir was, complimenting them on the outfits, make-up and stage presence.

Cowell shared that the act’s energy drew people in and remarked on how the ‘AGT’ stage has made the choir.

Some of Nightbirdie’s family members were in the audience during the choir’s performance and Cowell thanked them for honouring her memory with their previous performance.

Howie also praised the choir for their essence and shared how he loves the choir, which is something rare for him as he usually doesn’t like choirs.

The choir remarked on stage that they have the biggest family in America and are so happy to be performing.

Looking back at Toya Delazy’s relationship with her ‘woke’ grandfather Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) founder died at the age of 95. Buthelezi’s death was confirmed in a statement released by his family.

Delazy, is among the Buthelezi grandchildren, who had a strong relationship with Buthelezi and his late wife Princess Irene.

The ‘Love Is In The Air’ hitmaker in a previous interview with City Press, expressed that her grandfather was “woke” amid criticism she received for wearing ibheshu (traditional Zulu attire commonly worn by men) at a ceremony celebrating her grandfather’s 90th birthday.

“My grandfather gives me hope that it is possible for tribalism to end. He is a 90-year-old man who is woke, understanding, who is not judgemental and accepted me for who I am.“If a Zulu man, the Prime Minister of the Zulu nation, someone who is tribal to that extent, can grow and understand the world now, it is possible,” she told the publication.

Princess Irene, died in 2019 after “a long and difficult illness”, the award-winning musician openly shared how the death was hard on her.“I wrote Qhawe last year after devastatingly losing my grandma. Struggling with the loss of someone so special, I found myself in a dark place and at war with my own mind,” she said.

Delazy is yet to publicly share her sentiments regarding her grandfather’s passing and is not taking interviews at the moment.

Her most recent social media posts feature a picture of herself with musician Seun Anikulapo Kuti, where she celebrated their heritage of coming from great African descendants.
