Scandal! actress Stephanie Sandows has given fans a glimpse into what life has been like since tying the knot, calling it both challenging and rewarding.Hungani and Stephanie are one of the cutest couples in Mzansi.

After months of speculation, Stephanie and actor Hungani Ndlovu confirmed their nuptials by sharing a video from their special day on social media.

Since then, the couple have been opening up about their marriage and Stephanie recently took to Instagram to speak about it being the “most challenging thing and the most rewarding”.

“The most frequently asked question I still get is, ‘so how’s married life?’ The generic answer is, ‘it’s great’, because if I were to get into it, really answer; I’d tell you how it can be the most challenging thing and the most rewarding, you can experience the happiest moments and saddest, the countless laughs and cries too.”

She said marriage is a “culmination of extreme highs and painful lows” but said she couldn’t imagine a better partner than Hungani.

“The process of learning and then unlearning, letting go, forgiving, eating humble pie (often). The power of kindness & respect, the random kiss on the forehead or hug for no apparent reason. The power of being present not just in body but in mind too, the power of switching off the outside world and focusing on each other, even if only for a split second,” said Stephanie.

“The joy of letting go, being silly and wearing your heart on your shoulders at the risk of it being broken and then after all that – still choosing each other – every day, no matter what.”

She said she looked forward to many more years and lessons ahead

“I wonder what other lessons forever will bring,” she added.

Parole board to decide on AbaThembu king Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo’s fate after arrest

The Parole Board is yet to decide on the fate of AbaThembu king Buyelekhaya Zwelibanzi Dalindyebo following his arrest on Friday. He is alleged to have accosted members of his family at the Bumbane Great Place in the early hours of Friday.

Police spokesperson Brig Thembinkosi Kinana told TimesLIVE that a case had been opened against the king by his son and acting king Azenathi Dalindyebo.

“Azenathi opened a case of malicious damage to property and assault by threats at the Bityi police station,” Kinana said.

Correctional services spokesperson Singabakho Nxumalo said his department was working with the police to ascertain details of the incident “as the parolee was placed out into the system of community corrections with certain conditions that must be complied “A full report will thus be brought to the attention of the Correctional Supervision and Parole Board to consider the conduct of the parolee and adjudicate on the way forward. This shall also be largely determined by the court processes already under way,” Nxumalo said.

At the time of his arrest, Dalindyebo was out on parole after qualifying for a remission of sentence announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa last year.

He was released in December after spending four years behind bars.

A Hilton man, believed to be the country's first confirmed coronavirus case, is being quarantined at his home outside Pietermaritzburg.

National health minister Zweli Mkhize confirmed on Thursday that the 38-year father of two was among a group of 10 people, including his wife, who had travelled to Italy. The group returned to SA on Sunday March 1 via OR Tambo International Airport and later travelled to Durban.

The man visited his GP after complaining of fever, a headache, sore throat and a cough. A swab taken tested positive for the virus. Mkhize said the man had been “self-isolating” since then.

“The couple also has two children. The Emergency Operating Centre (EOC) has identified the contacts by interviewing the patient and doctor.

“The tracer team has been deployed to KwaZulu-Natal with epidemiologists and clinicians from NICD. The doctor has been self-isolated as well,” he said.

It is understood that the mother informed parents, whose schoolchildren are in the same class as her children, that her husband had tested positive and that they were quarantined in their house. In the message, she shared that neither she nor the children displayed any symptoms and that they would be tested.

She said that her husband was in constant contact with health experts from the National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD) which is managing the virus.e for the coronavirus and under quarantine at his home. The doctor, who runs a private practice in Hilton, has also been quarantined.

Meanwhile an upmarket residential estate issued a statement on Thursday notifying residents that one of their residents had “come into contact with the person who had tested positive for the coronavirus”.

Mount Edgecombe Country Club Estate residents were told that the resident was in contact with the NICD. They said once tested and the results were known, they would report back.

Meanwhile, a private school which is in close proximity to both the school attended by the children of the patient who tested positive, has suspended outings to public areas, until further notice.

The school, which is known to TimesLIVE, said they took the decision after it had confirmed that the first positive case of the virus was in their vicinity.

“[The school] will take all necessary precautions including no further outings to public/crowded places, the use of alcohol-based hand sanitiser, and the nursing sisters are up to date with all the signs and symptoms and will respond appropriately,” the school said in a statement.

The school said that while it remained open until further notice, it had also cancelled external sporting fixtures.
