Busiswa dragged for her awful rapping skills

When musician and performer Busiswa Gqulu made it as the only female artist on the “MTV Base Hottest MCs” list, many people came to her defense looking for reasons as to why she probably deserved it. When Cassper shared the behind the scenes of the making of Nokuthula on his docuseries titled A.M.N Sessions, the timeline became a mess. This takes us back to the time when people came up with hilarious punchlines in order to mock Faith Nketsi after she released an album.

In Busiswa’s case, she got featured on a trap/drill song where she had to lay down a verse or two. Despite her not being a rapper, she killed her verse. However when Cass shared their studio session on his YouTube channel, many could not help but feel disrespected, trolled or simply laugh at how Cass hyped Busiswa’s verse.

Busiswa

“Busiswa : “they call me Pastor Lorch coz ngiThembinkosi

Cassper : Yuuuuuu”

“Busiswa: when I cook the food change color

Cassper: yhoo”

“Busiswa: I put a dawn on my body yes I’m lotion

Cassper: killer”

She is not a rapper after all people so cut her some slack!

When she made it on the MTV Base Hottest MC’s list, she too was in disbelief. She could not help but respond to people who shaded her for making it on the list, “Artists’ Managers making it personal. The game is the game. We know they do this to get the people riled up. Let’s do impactful sh*t together rather than shade each other over lists & awards. ESPECIALLY women. We’re all we’ve got. It’s all entertainment to them. Bayahleka”

“If you are a female rapper in South Africa I hope you know they have deliberately disrespected you and chose clickbait instead: me! I am also being used here. The token female (MC) that will get engagement on social media going. I have worked my ass off for 9 years only to be made a token!”

She also dragged people who mocked her for the feature, “You can’t tell me what I know about myself. Being called a rapper is not an achievement to me. No matter how highly YOU think of it. Rest mfethu.”
