Audiences can’t get enough of Msibi because he’s convincing and relatable. He doesn’t just act the gangster roles he’s given, he’s lived their lives and it comes naturally to him.

While Madondo is loved and admired for his role on Skeem Saam fans wished he’d turn down the role because the Amos role doesn’t fit him.

As talented as Madondo is, he was aware that audiences would compare him to Msibi before joining Uzalo but signed up to the challenge anyways.“I’m here to play the character, not the previous actor. The brief about the character guided me how to pay my role and be real. It was not easy, but I have to bring the character to life. Perhaps that’s why I’m already recognised as Amos in the township.

He steals cars and also sells girls girls to mafia guys. However, he has grown and progressed to be a mafia.

Being in a wheelchair is tough and I understand what people who are living with disability are going through. They must know that they are also human being and I had the power, I’d star a campaign to teach people about disabilities.”

Here’s what viewers of the show said when they found out Msibi was replaced:
“I’m not trying to be like Ernest Msibi.”

“The character doesn’t suit him. Why didn’t you take Cosmo”

“Can someone tell Mantuli to come and fetch his brother.”

“This guy is a very good actor, you could have given him his own character, instead you crush him by burdening him with expectation.”

“Chicken from Rhythm City would have been a great replacement struu.”“Maybe i should tell Lehasa that Sfiso is lying for spending some times with his family and now he busy harassing people out there in KwaMashu.”

“Good actor but given wrong character, there ‘ll be only 1 Amos Ma-Ada , we want the real Amos Ma-Ada back.”

Msibi apparently left Gomora due to contractual disagreements and was killed on the show by Thati played by Katlego Danke.
