Rip: Ukhozi FM DJ Mgcino Shezi has died

Ukhozi FM radio drama actor and radio DJ Mgcino Shezi has died.


Mgcino worked for several community radio stations including Imbokodo FM. He was a DJ at the Umlazi-based community radio station, Intokozo FM, when he met his death on Thursday, 22 April.

Intokozo FM station manager Mxolisi Ntanzi said that Mgcino died after a short illness.

“He was ill for a short time. We didn’t expect that he was not going to recover because we believed that his illness was not serious. We are still shocked,” said Ntanzi.

He said Mgcino was a hardworking and dedicated DJ who loved tradition as he was hosting a traditional music show on Sundays.

“He loved his job and he loved radio. He acted on different radio dramas that were aired on Ukhozi FM including radionovela Kusa Kusa and he was very talented. We have lost a great talent,” said Ntanzi.

He said the radio station will communicate with the family about the funeral arrangements.

Luyanda Mzazi (Lesedi) Expecting Her Second Child

Generations actress Luyanda Mzazi is expecting her second child. She goes by the name Luyanda Mzazi but famously knows by her character name Lesedi from generation, the 26-year-old plays a young woman who was appointed by the Diales.

She plays a character showing what every teenage girl goes through in life when growing.
She, not just a pretty face but also a businesswoman, voice over and a tv presenter.

Luyanda gave birth to her firstborn baby in 2019 when she was 24 years old and we just learned that she is expecting her second child she is not married yet but in a committed relationship.Congratulations to the young couple kids are a blessing which many people wish to have bit they might not have the experience to know how it feels to be pregnant.

Nobuhle Mimi Mahlasela (Aggie) opens up on suicidal thoughts

Actress Nobuhle Mimi Mahlasela has opened up on her battles with depression and suicidal thoughts, which almost led to her taking her own life.
Known for her role as Aggie on popular Afrikaans soapie 7de Laan, She got real about her mental health challenges with fans on social media.

“I woke up one day last week and I couldn’t take it any more! I was overwhelmed with traumatic incidents I encountered and all the thoughts in my head the last couple of months. I cried so much I couldn’t breathe and I had a severe headache throughout this episode.

“It was an anxiety attack, but this time I was not letting it get to me. I picked up the phone called my sister and a close friend to let them know that I’m not OK, and that simple act of calling someone was me fighting!” she explained.

She managed to “gather” herself and headed to work. On the way she saw a truck with a message that everything was going to be OK.

It led her to reflect on struggling with depression for years.

“I’ve been fighting depression and anxiety all my life by ‘managing’ and ‘controlling’ it, by simply blocking traumatic experiences I’ve encountered since I was a young girl. I attempted suicide twice in my life because I just did not want to be here and feel this pain any more,” she explained.The star is determined to fight and started therapy this year.

“I have to go back to that little girl that got hurt and heal her. I’m happy I decided to fight this. I’m not an expert but I’m learning and I’m on a journey of healing,” she said, encouraging others to speak about their struggles and get help.

Nobuhle admitted that it is not easy but she is proud of herself for not giving up.

K Naomi remembers late mother today: ‘I miss you so much’

K Naomi has taken to her social media to share that she is missing her mother.

According to the star, she stated her mother died 9years ago.

In her tweet, Naomi stated that yesterday night 9years ago, her mother was admitted into the hospital because she was very sick.

She went on to say that they found out 80% of her lungs were negatively affected.

Naomi mentioned she has never seen her mother look so sick and frail in her entire life.

She shared a picture of herself when she was little and her mother holding her in her arms.

Naomi tweeted: “So last night 9 years ago my mom was admitted into hospital because she was very sick. We found out 80% of her lungs were negatively affected. I’d never seen my mom look so sick and frail in my entire life.”
