On Monday, 31 July, Amapiano DJ and producer, Busta 929 – real name Tebogo Madingoane took to Instagram to mourn his late friend, Mpura aka Dlonti who died tragically on 9 August 2021.

The late South African Amapiano artist Mongezi Thomas Stuurman was best known as Mpura, a popular Amapiano giant on the rise. He is best known for his hits and collaborations in songs such as Umsebenzi Wethu, Izolo, iDlozi, Amawaza, and several more.

 

 

 

He, along with six other people was involved in a fatal car accident which claimed his life and singer, Killer Kau’s whose real name is Sakhile Hlatshwayo, TshisaLIVE reported. They were rumoured to have been travelling to attend a gig in Rustenburg.

According to IOL, it was reported that the artists were travelling in a Mercedes that overtook another vehicle in an unsafe area and resulted in colliding in a head-on collision with an Opel Corsa that also a firefighter known as Sanza Mohumi.

As he mourned his friend on his feed, Busta 929 shared a picture of himself with the late Amapiano star sitting around, making funny faces.

“Dlonti ❤️🕊️,” he wrote as he captioned the photo.

The Mmapula hitmaker’s post triggered several of his fans and social media followers who decided to send kind messages in the comment section.
