The role of Tsutsuma on the SABC2 comedy show Ga Re Dumele brought Obed Baloyi, a South African actor and director, widespread recognition. He appeared on Ga Re Dumelo from 2010 until 2013.

 

 

 

Obedi Baloyi earned a Main Stream for his performance as Zwakala Festival at the Market Theatre.

Baloyi has worked tirelessly to advance his profession in the entertainment world through television appearances. He is known for his roles as Hlengani Joseph Chavalala in the First XiTsonga Drama Series in SA Giyani, “Land of Blood,” and as Grace Modupe’s Uncle on etvScandal.

Obed Baloyi played Blues in the second season of the SABC1 drama series A Place Called Home in 2008.

I think I seen him on television before 2006. In Yizo Yizo, he also had a coal business. Unquestionably gifted.

He’s been a TV regular for decades. Dube on Monday, Emzini Wezinsizwa, Yizo Yizo 3, and Heartlines are just few of the shows where he appeared in cameo roles.
