An old picture of Grammy-nominated musician Zakes Bantwini deejaying with CDs back in 2006 has inspired Mzansi online.

After spending so many years in the music industry, it is safe to say Bantwini has paid all his dues. The Osama hitmaker started as a scrawny disc jockey.

The singer, producer and businessman recently shared an old picture of him on the decks, juxtaposing it with a recent photo, and Mzansi is here for all of it.

Bantwini posted a picture from 2006 when he was a disc jockey at one event, and he was rocking the crowd in a packed stadium.

The hitmaker looked lanky and trendy for that time, wearing a striking polka-dot shirt and white trousers. He was intently focused on the tiny mixer in front of him as he had headphones on.

On the desk where Bantwini was mixing music, there were many bags with CDs he was selecting songs from as he mixed and played.

Zakes then juxtaposed that image with a recent picture of him on the turntables, deejaying and looking like a superstar in a black leather jacket and sunglasses. The second picture shows a man who had put on some weight and looks wealthier and more successful than in 2006 when his musical career was just starting.
