In a post-match interview, he said, “To see so many beautiful South Africans out here today, I can’t tell you how proud I am.As we were driving in the bus [here], we were reminded who we are playing for and why we work hard every day. No matter where we are in the world, South Africans always turn up. We appreciate you. We’re doing it for you. Keep on backing us”.
Siya made the Springboks Rugby World Cup squad after months of sitting out due to injury rehabilitation.
