Zolisa Xaluva (born 13 June 1981 in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth) is a South African actor and television personality.

He rose to prominence as Jason in the SABC serial drama Generations. He also earned the part of Melusi on Gomora, a Mzansi Magic drama series.


 

 

His date of birth is on 13 June 1981 and the place of birth is in New Brighton, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Zolisa Xaluva is 40 years old and he celebrates his birthday every year on June 13.He was born into the Thando and Nombuyiselo Xaluva household. The main character’s brother has three (3) siblings. At the age of eleven (11) he moved to Johannesburg with his family. His family was subsequently forced to migrate to Pretoria to be with his extended relatives.He completed his matriculation in Pretoria and continued his education at Technikon Witwatersrand. He majored in Communication Science and Media Studies. He did not finish his academic studies at the school since he left out with a year to go due to financial troubles.Zolisa attempted to establish a campus radio station at Technikon Witwatersrand. His attempts were rejected since he was no longer a student at the college.

She returned to Port Elizabeth, he joined an arts and culture group. The group toured schools and performed plays for schoolchildren. Later, he went back to Pretoria and studied Drama at Technikon Pretoria. He had his graduation in 2003.

In March 2019, he won an award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in the feature film Sew the Winter to My Skin. The film was also nominated for Best Feature Film.On season 3 of Tsha Tsha, a SABC1 drama series, he appeared as Lwazi Mboweni. In 2005, he portrayed Jason Malinga in the SABC 1 soap drama Generations.

The producers of Generations allowed him time off in 2006 to film Season 4 of Tsha Tsha. In 2008, he was cast as HHP’s Manager in Rhythm City, an e.tv soap drama.

The same year, he appeared in uGugu no Andile and season 2 of Tshisha, a SABC 1 drama series. In 2020, he portrayed Melusi, a school administrator, in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela Gomora.In 2023, he plays the role of Caesar on the new drama series Smoke and Mirrors.
