The actress who played Zitha, told the publication that the producers fired her a few days after she collapsed on set. Emotional fatigue and bullying were the main reasons for her collapsing. A member of the production team confirmed to Sunday World and further detailed that they were shooting a few scenes as stated by their schedule before Zoe suddenly fainted.
An ambulance was then immediately called and she was rushed to the hospital to receive care. The source said her working conditions were horrible as well as the long working hours, especially for a person who was suffering from depression.

The paper also reveals that three ‘very influential’ female cast members, were horrible towards her bullied her as per their ‘friends’ instructions. The friend being Rapulana’s lover. They made her work very difficult and all of that took it’s toll on her. They ill-treated her hoping that she would eventually leave at her own accord.
“The actors work long hours and the working conditions are horrible. Zoe’s body could not take it any more, especially since she was going through a tough time in her personal life,” said the source.
Another added, “There is a lot of jealousy and cattiness. There are three influential ladies who have been ill-treating her and hoping that she would be frustrated and leave the show.”
Seeing that she is not prepared to leave, Zoe said a number of people created lies against her one of them being that she went to set intoxicated. Zoe denied that she ever went to work drunk.
Generations: The Legacy’s publicist Nandipha Phansi confirmed the actress’s exit saying her contract was not renewed.
She said: “Zoe is not part of the upcoming season of Generations: The Legacy. Her contract was not renewed.”
Zoe confirmed she was currently not part of the soapie.
“Yes, I am currently on leave, however, I cannot comment further on that,” she said.
In a surprising turn of events, reports are pointing Motshidi Motshegwa as Zoe’s replacement. Apparently Motshidi and Mfundi Vundla are negotiating contracts and nothing is confirmed but things are looking up for the former The River actress.
