Zizi Kodwa replaced Nathi Mthethwa as the Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture in the previous cabinet reshuffle by President Cyril Ramaphosa. Mthethwa is one of the Ministers who were accused of being incompetent after some artists accused him of ignoring the needs of the industry.
On his latest social media post, Minister Kodwa indicated that his Department will be working with South African legendary musician Bonginkosi Dlamini aka Zola 7 on some projects. Zola has previously trended on social media and other news channels for being broke and affected by other health issues.
“Bonginkosi Dlamini is South Africa’s icon, and one of our most talented stars. I met him yesterday in Polokwane, he welcomed an invitation to work with us as one of the Creative Sector Ambassadors. I look forward to a great working relationship with Zola 7.” Zizi Kodwa shared on social media.
It will really be a good thing to see the Department of Sports, Arts, and Culture helping some of our legendary artists to bounce back. Especially Zola, who has contributed greatly to changing the lives of so many people positively during his shining times.
It is not surprising that most of the people who came across the post sang praises to Kodwa and welcomed his announcement. “May everything you touch become gold !! God bless your journey, minister.” Andile Dlamini said.
More people sent out compliments and congratulations to the Minister for his initiative.
