At this rate, many should now start taking love notes from the Gumede household as Zandie Gumede (née Khumalo) gushes over her hubby Hloni Gumede.
Posting on her Instagram timeline, she shared a snap of some bling on her finger, thanking her husband for keeping her vows and the sanctity of their marriage.
“Me and my husband are not together anymore like we were before. We are more together than we were,” she wrote. On Hloni’s birthday in July, Zandie penned a heart-warming post singing the praises of the love of her life.“I don’t even know where to start. One of the wisest people I know, super resilient, unbelievably strong-willed and determined. My fixer, doing this life thing with you has been amazing. I don’t know how you manage to do it, to calm my storms, silence my worries and light up an amazing path for me,” she wrote.
“Some men would have crumbled at the sight of what you have pulled me through. Your support that you have given me over the years is immeasurable. It doesn’t matter what is wrong but after I speak to you about it, I definitely know it’s gonna be OK and it’s gonna be fixed.”
Zandie and Hloni tied the knot in a traditional ceremony in October 2016. Speaking to Drum magazine at the time, Zandie said she was a “happy woman”.“I don’t even know where to start. “We finish yet another year together, Myeni wami [my husband]. It’s over six years now in this marriage. Thank you for loving me, teaching me to love me, your consistency and your kindness. Thank you for our home, our son and mostly our love. I love you so much and I would do it all over again,” she wrote.
“My mother calls you her son, not mkhwenyana [son-in-law] and your mother calls me her daughter and not makoti [daughter-in law] — and that’s my third most favourite title after being your wife and Zenala’s mother. Ngiyabonga Phakathwayo.”
