Given the woman’s statement and her assurance that she will be testifying in court with no media present, the public’s reaction to this incidence is predictably strong, and it is not surprising that this is the case. The general public has been quite outspoken about their ideas on social media, and the family has found the entire situation to be insulting because they believe they have been unfairly condemned before they have had the opportunity to defend themselves.

The attorney for the defense, Zandile Mshololo, cast doubt on the mental capacity of the first state witness, Tumelo Madlala, who claimed to have recognized the assailants who entered the house where player Senzo Meyiwa was shot dead. Madlala claimed to have seen the assailants through the front door.

The first witness to testify in the case against the five defendants is Meyiwa’s best friend Madlala. Madlala has been Meyiwa’s best friend for as long as anyone can remember. According to him, before the incident, they had been drinking and watching soccer before it happened.

Madlala stated that despite the fact that they had been drinking, he was not intoxicated because he was able to keep track of what was happening.
