You Are Not South African: Nadia Nakai Told

Following her ‘rant’ on Young Famous and African series about her ethnicity, South Africans blatantly told Nadia Nakai that she is not a South African first generation immigrant.

Young, Famous And African is a Netflix series where viewers get to know about popular celebrities’ lifestyles and their drama or saga to say.

The show premiered on the 18th of March 2022 and it is attracting a lot of viewership.

The female rapper whose genealogy roots trace back to Zimbabwe is being criticized for failing to show pride in being a Zimbo native.

Nadai Nakai was born in South Africa and her mother is Zimbabwean whilst her father heirs from South Africa.

After the clip of Nadia Nakai on Young, Famous and African surfaced and circulated on social media, a Twitter account LisasaysSA1st quickly lashed out at the rapper posting:

Nadia Nakai “I’m first generation South African with Zimbabwean heritage” 🤮 girl you’re Zimbabwean. We don’t have 1st generation SAns

Following LisaSaysSA1st’s post on Twitter, tweeps were left divided with some arguing that she is a South African first generation immigrant since her father is from Mzansi.

Others are of the opinion that Nakai is not proud of being a Zimbo.
