Selae was one of the most popular YOTV presenters on SABC1, she left the show that was watched by millions of people especially the young adults in 2008.

She focused on her studies, whilst fans went around looking for her visibility in the limelight, Selae was studying. She started an acting career, considering that she went to the National School of Arts that has produced many actors.

After getting only a few cameo roles on shows like Generations, Mzansi Magic and etv local drama stories, she then disappeared again from the public.

In the rise of popular social media use amongst well known people like her, where fans started to connect with their favorites on the internet, Selae did not rise to the occasion.

Even though her peers, those who were quite close to her on YOTV, to mention a few, Khanya Mkangisa and Hulisani Ravele were active on social media and continued to get TV and Radio gigs.

Selae still lagged behind, she seemed to be rather shy. The fans of Selae did not have anything to indulge on. She was now on the “where are they now” topics. Something inside her that surprised many was about to boom.

After some years, Selae appeared on Minnie Dlamini Joneses wedding in 2017. That sort of brought her Instagram presence to light.

Selae used to rarely post anything yet she was profiled as a brand Strategist on sites like LinkedIn. She knew digital marketing and has worked on big brands successfully on the social media space.

She knows her way around promoting a brand and making it successful and popular online. Yet her own online presence was very limited despite the potential huge number of followers she could have had.

She chose to live a quiet life, gradually growing online. She is not acting nor presenting on radio and on television. Instead she is doing a splendid job in the digital media industry.

More than anything Selae has shown that she loves to work hard and she is so invested in digital branding, she is now doing her MBA in Berlin.

She has been proven to be a powerhouse in the digital marketing industry. She is an entrepreneur in this creative business, Selae started her own brand strategy company, Africanvass, and later co-founded The Strategy Network a subsidiary of the Odd- Number.

She is a renowned media titan, at the age of 33 she already has more than ten years experience in the industry and is now a Chief Strategy Officer at the Odd Number and also a board member the Advertising Regulatory Board shortly called ACASA.
