When the 26-year-old actress first made an appearance as Boniswa (Lusanda Mbane) and Siseko’s (Hlomla Dandala) daughter, she was only meant to stay for a short while. Fast forward to two years later, Mabuya is the show’s leading lady and central to the plot.

Langa Biography
Sive Mabuya also known as Xolile Langa is a native of South Africa and is an actress, and has become a prominent figure after she was aired on one of the popular TV shows in SA like High Rollers which she starred as Angela Jane Elison aka AJ, debuted on SABC2 Soapie.

Sivenathi Mabuya was born in Cape Town on the 26th day of April in 1993. She grew up in East London before moving to Johannesburg. She celebrated her 28th birthday in April 2021. Sive speaks different languages including Xhosa, Zulu and English.

Qualifications
Sive Mabuya graduated High School with Honors in Stage and Acting. She has a BFA Degree in Theatre. She was part winner of the MAQa movie competition for amateur actors (2015).

First break
Her first big break came in February 2015 when she was one of five winners of the MAQamovie competition for amateur actors, sponsored by a washing powder brand. This gave her the opportunity to feature in the film Skorokoro, directed by Darrell Roodt. The judges of this competition were Shona Ferguson, Sdumo Mtshali, Nomzamo Mbatha and Roodt.

1. She has been in many productions since including ‘The Ring’ by Mnet, Igazi, In July 2016, Sive joined the cast of the SABC3 dark comedy-drama series Sober Companion. Later that year Sive made her first appearance as AJ in the SABC3 soapie High Rollers – her first starring role in television.

2. She says her most challenging and daring role I’ve had to play was on e.TV’s Easy Money. “An emotional roller-coaster that pushed me beyond my comfort zone, giving birth to a new love for what I do most,” she said.
