Why Zitha Collapsed On Generations: The Legacy Set
Actress Zoe Mthiyane who portrays the character Zitha on SABC 1 popular soapie Generations: The legacy collapsed onset due to emotional fatigue and bullying by one of co-star Rapulana Seiphemo’s girlfriend.
According to Sunday World, Rapulana Seiphemo’s girlfriend, who is an admin officer on the popular weekday soapie, allegedly bullied Zoe to the point that she could no longer focus on work due to depression.
Zoe Mthiyane confirmed to the publication that she was no longer part of Generations: The Legacy saying:
Yes, I am currently on leave, however, I cannot comment further on that.
However, Generations publicist Nandipha Phansi said the actress’s contract had not been renewed.
Phansi said:
Zoe is not part of the upcoming season of Generations: The Legacy. Her contract was not renewed.
After she was asked if she had indeed collapsed on set, Zoe Mthiyane said the incident happened due to emotional fatigue and bullying by some girl who had a relationship with her ex-boyfriend Seiphemo.She dismissed reports that she had gone to work drunk arguing that the lies were peddled by people who were out to tarnish her image.
Detailing the collapse incident, a member of the production team said they were shooting numerous scenes as per their schedule when Mthiyane suddenly and an ambulance was called and she was rushed to the hospital where she was observed.
According to another source, Mthiyane was the target of bullying from three actresses at the soapie, who had teamed up with their friend to frustrate her work. The source said:
It is alleged that there are three influential ladies who have been ill-treating her and hoping that she would be frustrated and leave the show. There is a lot of jealousy and cattiness according to the sources.
