Why Tau Mogale Left Generations the legacy?

When it was announced that actor Rapulana Seiphemo (Tau Mogale) would be leaving the program, many fans of the show were left devastated. It has now been revealed that Rapulana Seiphemo had been embroiled in a contractual dispute with Morula Pictures for many weeks prior to Mzansi Magic announcing him as the newest member of The Queen’s cast and crew.

According to a statement released by Mzansi Magic, Seiphemo will soon join the cast of the popular soapie, where he will portray the role of Hector, a high-ranking police colonel in Tembisa who has a keen interest in the drugs trade.

SASoapies has learned that Seiphemo, who portrays Tau Mogale in the SABC1 soapie, had to appeal with Morula Pictures, the show’s owners and producers, to be allowed to join Ferguson Films, which is owned by the Fergusons’ daughter Shona and her husband Connie.

In an interview with a source close to Ferguson Films, it was revealed that Seiphemo accepted in principle to be part of the Queen several years ago, but that he had asked for further time to negotiate his resignation after having many meetings with Connie, a former colleague from Generations.

Although Seiphemo has a year remaining on his three-year contract with Generations, it is said that the Legacy intended to retain him for another three years. According to a source at the South African Broadcasting Corporation, the producers were taken aback by the actor’s wish to quit since they had expected him to seek for a contract extension rather than throwing a bombshell on them.

Ferguson Films released a statement.

Rapulana Seiphemo is an actor with whom we have previously collaborated, and we have the utmost admiration for him as a performer and as a professional. He is a world-class actor with an amazing resume who is highly regarded by his fans and colleagues. His portrayal of Hector Sebata is one that we are looking forward to seeing him in.”

Seiphemo expressed his excitement at the prospect of becoming a member of The Queen. Rapulana Seiphemo will be playing Hector Sebata, and we can’t wait to see her in the part.
