Thobani Nzuza was born in 1993 on the 4th of May. So, as of 2023, he is 30 years old. He was born in Umlazi which is in Durban, in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. His love for the arts started when he was young having been mentored by the likes of Buhle Bo’ Mlazi.
Growing up, Thobani lost his father at an early age and as a result had to be raised by his mother. So, he didn’t have it exactly easy early in his life. However, that didn’t stop him from becoming the best version of himself in adulthood.
Education
He attended his high school at the King Shaka High school. Of which after he finished he studied at the Community Arts Center and then at the Durban University of Technology. These institutions helped him with the neccesary training for his career.
Personal life
Thobani lost his grandmother not so long ago. And when it comes to relationships, it has been claimed that he preffered older women. However, he debunked the claims saying they were based on a role he played on TV.
Other sources claimed he once dated his co-star Lungelo Mpangase on eHostela. But he has neither confirmed nor denied the claims. So, the truth remains in the confines. However, one thing is for sure, the guy is not married. But, he actually has one boy child.
Career
Nzuza’s journey into the entertainment industry, specifically her career as an actor, began in 2010. He began taking classes at the Community Arts Center at this time to learn drama.
Moreover, he had the good fortune to receive guidance from Buhle “Bo” Mlazi, one of the most well-known South African artists, before graduating from high school.
In 2014, while still a student at the Durban University of Technology, the actor took part in his first stage play.
More career information
In Bangkok, the drama Silencing the Hurricanes was successfully presented. As a result, the young aspiring actor was inspired to compose and conduct the theatrical play Shintsha Guluva.
The actor was recognized for his efforts with the Best Director award. Which gave him the freedom to work on further theatrical productions.
Those include but are not limited to; Secret Valleys of the Great Kings and Boy Ntulikazi, a one-man play written in conjunction with another playwright by the name of Kagiso Tsimakwane.
