A few years ago, Adriano Mazzotti became one of the most infamous names in the cigarette smuggling underworld. He was once alleged to be linked to Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and her political ambitions. However, she denied any association with the tobacco kingpin. Unconfirmed reports show that as of 2022, they have an estimated net worth of R990 million. However, some sources have it that they have since passed the billion mark.

Edwin Sodi is a celebrated business mogul with an estimated net worth of R300 million. The bubbly businessman also doubles as an ANC benefactor and the brains behind Blackhead Consulting company which majors in several business investments.

Sodi also has a company, Base Property Holdings, with a mortgage bond valued at approximately R60 million. Of interest is the fact that he is reported to be a director of more than 40 private companies.
