Recently, Nelisiwe made public her engagement to gospel music icon Ayanda Ntanzi. During their time in college, they began dating, and in 2019 Ayanda proposed to her. However, the couple’s relationship soured, and they called it quits before being married. Nelisiwe revealed that their disagreement was primarily caused by differing religious convictions.

While Nelisiwe respects her ancestors and Zulu culture, Ayanda Ntanzi is a devout Christian who has helped many people via his gospel music. Nelisiwe admitted in a YouTube interview that her devotion to African spirituality was the root of all of her relationship’s issues with Ayanda. She continued by saying that she had found out Ayanda was impeding her career.

Since I follow a spiritual path and Ayanda is a Christian, our connection was strained. And yanda was impeding my professional growth. Despite the fact that Ayanda and Nelisiwe’s relationship did not work out, they are still great friends.

Neliswe later shot off the rumors that she was seeing Marawa, though. She chuckled and said that they were only good friends.
