Mushonga released an Instagram video in which he vents but still makes it clear that he still loves his “sweetheart.”

Mushonga informed his social media followers on Tuesday evening that Mbau had just texted him to inform him that she had arrived safely in South Africa.

“I can affirm that my girlfriend texted me just now to inform me that she had returned to Johannesburg. My sweetheart has just confirmed her return to Johannesburg,” Mushonga stated.

Is there a happy ending?

It is encouraging that Mbau returned home safely, as she verified on her Instagram page with a video of herself boarding a flight to Johannesburg and a photo of herself at her father’s grave.

“Dear Father. It becomes more real up here. We appreciate everyone’s texts, messages, and genuine care. I am safe and sound at home,” she wrote.
