Well known radio star loses her guest house after being implicated in Ekusileni power station fraud

The empire that a well known radio personality was building is slowly crumbling to the ground.

This comes after she was implicated in a massive fraud scheme that happened at Ekusileni power station.

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) seized a guest house belonging to a prominent media personality who carved a niche for herself in radio.

Last week, the Pretoria Asset Forfeiture Unit was granted a preservation order by the Gauteng North High Court for the Casambo Exclusive Guest Lodge, owned by Carol Zenzele Sanderson.

This comes after investigations linked her to the infamous fraud that occured in Emalahleni.

Investigations proved that millions of Rands were involved.

National Prosecuting Authority and the Special Investigating Unit (SIU), which discovered, among other findings, that more than R24m in alleged bribe money was paid to a former Eskom employee, Duduzile Babalwa Moyo.

According to an article on the News24 website, Sanderson’s parent company fraudulently secured the multi million Rand tender.

Evidence discovered during the investigation indicated that Moyo was involved in the alleged fraudulent issuing of a water transport tender to Tamukelo.

Earlier media reports suggest that Eskom has lost over R400 million due to such illicit deals. This has caused massive financial loss at the beleaguered parastatal.

In what is believed by the MPA and SIU to be an effort to try and cover its tracks, Casambo Property Development has listed the commercial property for sale for R3m, a much lower price than the estimated value thereof.

South Africa is currently experiencing it’s worst loadshedding in years.
