Wedding girl celebrates her big day with strangers at Home Affairs

A young woman chooses to celebrate her big day with complete strangers, in contrast to the majority of people who would look into having their big wedding day celebrated in an upscale establishment that is full of bling.

The woman spoke about the excitement she felt after receiving joy from regular people in South Africa by expressing their congratulations to her.

She had gone to the Home Affairs office in Wynberg to officially register her marriage when complete strangers from a variety of backgrounds became a part of her special day.

Nina Steininger shared her experience on the #I’mStaying Facebook group, stating that the day of her wedding was made even more memorable by the fact that total strangers congratulated her and offered their best wishes.

Nina continued by saying that as her love for South Africa and its people grew, she felt an increased sense of pride in being a South African.

“Recently got married at Home Affairs in Wynberg, and I was blown away by the ‘gees’ and well-wishes of total strangers who spread good vibes along my way to the center. Home Affairs is known for its intimate setting, and the people who work there are incredibly friendly. What a way to go out!”

A number of people in South Africa commented positively on her post and offered their best wishes to her. This added to her excitement.
