The divorce rate in South Africa stands at 17,6%. This may seem like a low number, but this means that almost 1 in five marriages end in divorce. Most of the it happens within 9 years of the marriage.

It is hard to believe that the beautiful Ayanda Thabethe and the handsome Andile Ncube were once a couple, even got married.

According to the source, the two got engaged in 2013, and soon after Andile Ncube paid lobola for Ayanda. They had a traditional wedding ceremony in Durban KwaZulu Natal.

The wedding was a private ceremony but Andile later shared pictures of the day on his Instagram page and Ayanda changed her surname to Ayanda Ncube.

Almost two years later after the traditional wedding, Ayanda shocked the whole nation when she changed her surname back to Thabethe on all her social media platforms.

Both Ayanda and Andile have never spoke about getting a divorce, how they separated and the reason why they separated, they just continued with their lives.

Twitter user @MusaKhawula took to Twitter to remind the whole country that Ayanda and Andile were once married. He wrote:

“Remember when Andile Ncube and Ayanda got divorced and they never spoke about reasons behind their divorce”

It didn’t take too much time for Ayanda to see the tweet, she did not hesitate to comment.

Her comment was:

“First of all we didn’t get divorced because we never signed. So let’s get this fact straight as well. Thanks.”
