‘Wait a minute’: A look at Rasta’s portrait of Arthur Mafokate

BEAUTIFUL PORTRAIT: ARTHUR MAFOKATE ON RASTA THE ARTIST’S LATEST PORTRAIT
Rasta The Artist is best known for doing portraits of high-profile South African people who have recently passed away, however, this time he did one of Arthur Mafokate, who is very much alive and kicking. Mafokate had his feed buzzing after showing off the portrait Rasta The Artist painted of him dressed in a blue suit with a red bow tie. Meanwhile, netizens admitted that they were in stitches after they saw the portrait, claiming that it looked nothing like Mafokate.

“Wait a minute, Rasta. Who did you say this was? Thanks, my dear brother for such a beautiful portrait of myself and for celebrating me whilst I am still alive,” Mafokate captioned the portrait on his feed.

The 54-year-old has made a name for himself in the music business with managing artists like the iconic Jaiva sexy hitmaker, Chomee, and more. He recently handed over his record label, 999 Muisc to his son, Arthur Junior ‘AJ’ Lesego, ZiMoja reported.

“I feel like since I don’t have much to do, I might as well spend time mentoring him. I have mentored a lot of great administrators in the music business and why not try him too?” he was quoted as saying in the matter.
