Real housewives of Cape Town were given the biggest timeslot of Sundays on mzansi magic that is Our Perfect wedding timeslot. People are used to tuning in on the tv channel to watch their favourite show, which makes sense that they would automatically watch Real housewives of Cape Town.

 

 

 

 

The two other South African franchises have been a success, viewers connected with the cast and they served entertainment to the viewers. However the Cape Town housewives are failing to connect with mzansi. The first episode was somewhat intriguing but the franchise have failed to reach the standard of entertainment the other two franchises brought.

The producers need to go back to the score board and bring entertainment to the people. The cast members seem to be older compared to the other shows and they’re not well known to the public. South Africans want to see people they’ve heard of and want to see their lifestyle, on this show they’re given strangers they’re still trying to get to know. That is delaying the progress of the show.

Undoubtedly the women are rich they’ve brought their A game when it comes to their dresses and houses. However there’s no connection whatsover with the viewers.
