aby Cele has been absent from the SABC1 serial since she was filming House of Zwide, a new e.TV drama series that recently replaced Rhythm City.
Baby Cele is a South African film and television actor. Baby is most known for her eight-year stint as Katlego Rathebe in the e.TV show Backstage. She is also well-known for her role as Thandeka in the SABC1 drama Home Affairs. These are just a few of the actress’s roles; she has a long and illustrious career. So, apart from being a television star, who is Baby Cele?
However, it had already been announced that the actress had been cast in the international picture Red Cargo. Menzi Ngubane, who died in 2016, was rumored to be joining Baby Cele and other American performers in the upcoming picture Red Cargo, which was set to enter theaters in 2021. According to reports, the film will be shot in South Africa, and other local actors include Siyabonga Shibe, Israel Matseke-Zulu, Luthuli Dlamini, and others. Last year, the film’s producer, Senzo Zindela, also revealed that the now-deceased veteran actor Menzi Ngubane would play the major part in the film, with Baby Cele playing his mother.
Khaya Dladla is another performer who selected House of Zwide over Uzalo. In a recent interview with Isolezwe, the radio host claimed that his contract with the next Etv opera is longer than Uzalo’s. He could not disclose why he quit the program for good, and unlike Baby Cele, he could not guarantee his future with the SABC1 soapie because he shot a number of sequences that have yet to be aired. Another concern for Khaya was that the two shows are shot in two different cities, so he would be unable to control the resulting conflict. “When we got back to Uzalo, they didn’t tell us (he and Nokuthula Mabika) how long we’d be with the program for.” Other cast members were aware that they would only be on the show for a few weeks until their contracts expired. “That’s why, when the opportunity to join House of Zwide arose, I couldn’t say no because I know how long I’m contracted to stay with them for the next few years,” he explained.
