Another celebrity has been reported to have died yet she was still very much alive. Over the past few days, she was trending a lot on social media and in news outlets that she has died in a car accident.

This is actually a norm for people to spread false news about a certain celebrity that they have died while they are still very much alive.

 

We have seen over the past years social media spreading fake rumours on celebrities like Sophie Ndaba, Bonginkosi Zola Dlamini, Masoja Msiza and other celebrities.

Last year, Zola was “killed” three times on social media while he was alive.

Now, they have done the very same thing on this young Uzalo actress, Thuthuka Mthembu.

Mthembu was left heartbroken after those death rumours spread on social media. She said that those news hurt her and her family who was receiving calls asking about her death.

The actress who plays the role of Nonka on Uzalo said she was shocked that people would make jokes about others dying.

In an interview she had with Daily sun, she said she was very much alive and was not involved in any accident. Those fake news did not only hurt her but it also hurt her family and loved ones.

She said she was shocked when she and members of her family started receiving calls from people claming that she has died while she was alive.

She slammed the news outlets who ran with the story without confirming it.

Sources inside uzalo said that her fellow colleagues were very much shocked and confused when they could not reach her on the phone. She was not reached as it wasstill the time of holidays.

On the bright side, her career is flourishing as she will appear in a local movie titled Grade 13 that will appear on Mzansi wethu soon.
