Wiseman Mncube says it was not easy to play the role of a singer who is with others in the kwaito field, Mduduzi Shabalala who was known as Mandoza. This actor wrote this on his page on Instagram, where he said that playing the role of Mandoza was very difficult, but he tried to do his best to make a good work. Wiseman is also playing the role of Nkosi yakwa Kwa Ndwandwe in the drama Ushaka Ilembe.

 

This play is called Nkalakatha-The Life of Mandoza. “I was humbled to be given the opportunity to play the role of this singer and I hope that his fans will not be disappointed by the work I have done. I am happy to be given an opportunity like this,” said Mncube.

Mandoza is one of the artists known for playing a major role in the spread of kwaito music, as he has also performed overseas. Mandoza was born in Zola eSoweto, did not hide his pride in coming out of this township. He passed away in 2016, after a battle with cancer. The lady Lorraine Moropa will play the role of Mandoza’s wife, Mpho. Others who will appear in the show include Lillian Dube, Dawn Thandeka King, Mzambiya singer, Khotso Phosa, Lindo Sithole, Phineas Bullets and Fanele Zulu.
