Uzalo actor Cebolenkosi Mthembu survives fatal car crash

Cebolenkosi “Mr Vibe” Mthembu, an Uzalo actor, has had a rough year.

And, despite the fact that he has no idea what it means, it makes him uneasy.

The Imbokodo FM host told a local publication that his bad luck began earlier this year when he lost his DAD.

While he was recovering, he lost his voice on-air and was involved in a car accident.

But it appears that his bad luck is not over.

This comes after he was involved in another car accident on Saturday, December 18th, while driving to the Durban ICC, where he had a gig.

According to Cebolenkosi, the accident occurred on the N3 near Pavillion Mall.

It was drizzling outside, and I was in the fast lane. When I reached the off-ramp, I slowed down and entered the slow lane. During this time, I noticed a truck that had broken down. I slammed on the brakes and activated the hazards.

Unfortunately, one of the cars in front of me failed to stop or brake and collided with me. I don’t remember much, except that the car spun out in the middle of the road. “It eventually faced oncoming traffic,” he explained.

Cebolenkosi was taken to St Augustine Hospital in critical condition.

“It was a serious accident because my car was severely damaged.” The front and rear bumpers will need extensive repairs, but I’m glad I didn’t die.

“I only had minor knee injuries and was released a few hours later.” “I was able to continue with the event the next day,” he explained.

He told a local newspaper that he was in another car accident two months ago.

“I was driving to Bhamshela, Endwedwe, when a speeding taxi slammed into me.” It collided with my vehicle and overturned a few meters away. I’m now concerned. “I’m not sure if my forefathers are trying to send me a message,” he explained.

Cebolenkosi also mentioned losing his father, Raphael, earlier this year.

“In January, I lost my father. While trying to recover from that, I lost my voice on the air in February. My voice had vanished for the entire month. “It started as a sour throat, and by the end of the show, my voice was completely gone,” he explained.

He described 2021 as the most dreadful year of his life.

It’s been a year of misfortune for me. I’m not sure what this means, but it’s making me feel uneasy. “I will request that my elders intervene or do something to protect me,” he said.

“Car accidents are normal, especially this time of year,” cultural expert Loyiso Nqevu said. This is due to a variety of factors, including careless driving and driving while intoxicated.

“However, in this case, it could be a message addressed to him.”

For example, if his family has a history of car accidents, this could be a message from his forefathers. This could imply that his house needs to be cleaned.”

Colonel Thembeka Mbhele, a police spokeswoman, said, “We can confirm the incident, but no case has been opened.”
