Unathi gets dragged into battle between Mtyali and Kaya FM boss

Popular radio hostess and musician Unathi Nkayi has found herself trending for all the wrong reasons.

According to media reports, Nkayi’s name has been dragged in the legal battle between Sibongile Mtyali and the current Kaya FM boss.

Mtyali, who lodged an urgent application in the Joburg Labour Court to compel the station to reinstate her, has accused the station’s board chairperson Sizwe Mncwango of double standards.

Mtyali was recently fired by Kaya FM and she is appealing against her dismissal. She is not taking the dismissal lying down and she has already named several people in her lawsuit.

She wants to be reinstated back to her position.

According to Mtyali, despite Mncwango previously indicating he would not be involved in operational matters when he was allegedly asked to intervene in the much-publicised altercation between Dhlomo and Nkayi, who is not only a radio DJ but also a musician.

She alleges that Nkayi was not truthful when she spoke about bullying allegations against Dlomo.

The case is still being heard by the courts.
